Fund Operations Specialist

We are currently looking for a Fund Manager's Assistant/Operations Specialist to join our Fund Team based in London.

The purpose of this role is:

  • The job is to support the DCF fund management team by taking on all operational and regulatory tasks for the fund, via liaison with the ACD, internal risk, compliance, marketing and dealing desks

The main duties are as follows:

  • Pre-trade compliance approval, post-trade settlement including liaison between ACD, counterparties
  • Resolve pricing and accounting issues
  • Daily fund holdings reconciliation, cross-check of fund vs custodian data
  • Weekly sign-off of portfolio (e.g. stale pricing, identifier changes)
  • Instruct corporate actions, fund distributions and asset expiries
  • Proxy voting
  • Assist with DDQ/RFP production
  • Fund rating agencies (e.g. Defaqto, Dynamic Planner) liaison and provision of data
  • Monthly processes: prepare flash performance report, fund commentary, presentations, factsheet production, monthly client reports
  • Assist in preparing ad-hoc presentations
  • Populating fund spreadsheet for new securities
  • Monthly sign-off of DCF website
  • Answering ad hoc sales or investor queries
  • Proofing annuals, interims, prospectuses
  • Liaise with a number of in-house departments and third parties with respect to monitoring trades, settlement and general maintenance of portfolio
  • Firm: Participate and actively engage in the performance management process to attain and maintain competence within your role
  • Firm: Comply with applicable rules and regulations as stated by the regulator and set out in our internal policies

Skills and knowledge required:

  • Sound knowledge of the UK fund industry including familiarity with financial regulations (e.g. UCITS, MiFID)
  • Familiarity with asset classes (equities, bonds, FX)
  • Proficiency with Office suite of applications
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential
  • Enhanced numerical and quantitative skills
  • Positive & can do attitude
  • Positive, engaging and enthusiastic attitude
